As announced exclusively by the Basingstoke Gazette earlier today, your GalxC Cooling Services sponsored Basingstoke Bison are pleased to confirm the news that fans favourite Liam Morris has re-signed for the forthcoming 2022/23 NIHL season.
Liam made a total of 59 appearances during the 2021/22 season, scoring 25 points (10+15) and collected 138 penalty minutes.
27 year old Morris whose combative style of play makes him admired by fans of the Herd, is primarily a forward, although if required he will drop back and bolster the Bison defence, an asset which helped earn him the Coaches Player of the Year award last season.
Head Coach Tait said this about Morris signing for another season,
“I think Mo’s value to us is apparent and his versatility meant it was key for me to make sure he returned. His work rate is second to none and whilst his production isn’t where he’’d like it to be I expect that to increase as his growth continues”.
While Liam himself commented on being back with the Herd said,
“I’m grateful to be back for another season wearing a bison jersey. Although we had a tough regular season we really showed our true potential in the playoffs and I hope we can continue that into the new season and give ourselves a real opportunity to win some silverware!”
