Saturday evening is the Herd families opportunity to support and show there allegiance to the people of the Ukraine when we host our “Hockey for Ukraine” fundraising game.

Thanks to the generousity of the Bison fans we have already sold all of our special  one off jersey through our ever popular own and loan scheme and there are two further opportunities to win one of the jerseys at the game in our regular “Shirt off the Back” draw and also through our on-line raffle hosted by Raffall, tickets can be purchased by clicking here, where there are 5 personalised jerseys on offer.

Now onto our opponents and the game itself, your GalxC Cooling Services sponsored Basingstoke Bison have just one National League game this weekend, on Saturday night they take on Peterborough Phantoms at the Silverdome, face off is the usual 6.30pm.

Phantoms occupy 6th place with 44 points from 42 games and this puts them 4 points ahead of the Bison, having played 1 game less than the Herd. There is an added importance to Saturday’s game for both sides as the teams are locked in a battle for 6th and 7th places in the league. Ironically, however, there’s a possibility both sides will end up facing each other in the play offs, as the teams finishing in 2nd, 3rd, 6th and 7th place will form Group B.

With just the one game to look forward to, the Bison can channel all their efforts into securing the points on Saturday as they look to return to winning ways after the disappointment of last weekend.

And for the Wall of Sound conducted by DJ Bavy, it’s an opportunity to once again make some noise and back the boys.
