The fixtures are now confirmed for the 2022/23 Planet Ice NIHL National League season.

Your GalxC Cooling Services Basingstoke Bison home game schedule will be as follows:

22 Saturday, 2 Sunday and 2 games over the Christmas period, additionally there will be 1 Friday night game and 1 midweek game, this will be played in the October half term holiday.

Some highlights for your diary are.

The Herd start the season off with a home game on Saturday 17th against the Phantoms from Peterborough (Face Off 6.30pm) followed by a quick return visit after the pre-season game to Slough to play the Bees (Face Off 5pm).

The “new boys” of the league Bristol Pitbulls and the Hull Seahawks, make their first visits to the Basingstoke Arena on Sunday 9th October and Saturday 26thNovember respectively.

Over the Christmas period the Herd play head-to-head games with the Swindon Wildcats and MK Lightning.

On Boxing Day (26th December) we welcome the Wildcats to Basingstoke (Face Off 5.30pm) with the return fixture being the following day in Swindon (Face Off to be confirmed).

On December 30th the Bison travel to Milton Keynes to play the Lightning (Face Off to be confirmed) followed by the return leg in Basingstoke on New Year’s Day (Face Off 5.30pm).

The Planet Ice NIHL National league culminates with fixtures over the weekend of the 1st& 2nd April 2023, our final home game of the regular season will be against the Leeds Knights.

The following weekend the top 8 teams will face off in Quarter Final action with the prize of a place at the Final 4 weekend in Coventry on the 15th & 16th of April 2023 up for grabs.

Coach Tait commenting on the fixtures said,

“With 11 teams in the Planet Ice NIHL National League it was always going to be difficult for all teams to get every night they wanted, I think the league have done a great job in allocating fixtures and it’s great that we get some time off at Christmas to spend with our families before the Christmas and New year games begin”.
