The final weekend of the 2022/23 Planet Ice National League regular season, will see your GalxC Cooling Services Basingstoke Bison playing back to back games against the Sheffield Steeldogs.
First up, we welcome Sheffield to the Silverdome Arena on Saturday night, with the game facing off at the usual time of 6.30pm.
Sunday’s return game at the Ice Sheffield rink, has a face off time of 4.30pm.
Steeldogs have already secured 4th place in the league standings and will play 5th placed Swindon Wildcats in the play off quarter finals.
The Herd, who have already qualified for the play offs, will either finish 7th or 8th, so their ultimate finishing spot and quarter final opponents will be confirmed following this weekends round of games.
As for the Bison, despite facing the league champions on successive evenings last weekend and sadly coming off second best both times, the boys produced two gutsy performances, personified by outstanding net minding in both games, with Jordan and Alex facing a combined shot count of 105.
Fans of the Herd, the team really needs your support on Saturday night, you all know what is required, so make sure you’re in position by face off, when it’s time for you to be……….………Loud, Louder, Loudest.
