Our visitors are in prime position to claim 2nd place in the league, having picked up 55 points from their 44 games, which gives them a 3 point lead over both Leeds Knights and MKL, with Steeldogs lurking a point further back in 5th.

Leading points scorer for the Link Centre based team is none other than their Player/Coach Aaron Nell who has 77 points (37+40) from 37 games, closely followed by import Emil Svec with 56 points (33+23) also from 37 games.

One thing both sets of fans will know from past encounters is that games between the sides bring goals, no doubt Fridays game will continue this trend.

Following a rare Saturday off for the Bison, Sunday will see them make their final visit of the season to the Sapphire Ice & Leisure Centre in Romford to play the Raiders, face off is 5.15pm.

The home team find themselves in a desperate battle for the last play off spot with Slough based Bees IHC. Raiders are one point adrift of 8th place and both teams have 4 games left to secure their play off place.

Raiders broke a 4 game losing streak last Sunday by beating MKL in OT on home ice, with Jake Sylvester scoring the winner 3.35 into the extra 5 minutes. Incidentally, the same player leads their scoring with 51 points (24+27) from 37 games, followed by the Bison’s fans favourite Raider, Aaron Connolly on 35 points (21+14).

Romford has always been a tough place to visit for the Herd, never more so than on Sunday when the home team will be giving everything in search of those vital 2 points.

Bison Coach Ashley Tait will be looking to build momentum heading into the Play Offs, so two confidence boosting performances this weekend will be the priority.

Fans of the Herd be ready to play your part, starting on Friday night.

As usual it’s Loud, Louder,Loudest.
