The GalxC Cooling Services Basingstoke Bison, will take to the ice this weekend in a National League double header against Raiders IHC.
Firstly we welcome them to the Silverdome on Saturday, face off is 6.30pm, before heading to Romford on Sunday, face off at the Sapphire Ice & Leisure centre is 5.15pm.
Raiders sit 6th in the National league table on 11 pts from 13 games played.
Leading the scoring chart is none other than their skipper, Aaron Connolly, with 16 pts from 13 games (9+7), followed by Jake Sylvester on 11 pts (6+5) and defender Tom Relf, also on 11 pts (1+10).
Young net minder Ethan James has a save percentage of 89.70, and was recently called up as injury cover by EIHL side Manchester Storm.
Towards the end of last month, Raiders welcomed back Czech import Lukas Sladkovsky from injury, and it was he who scored the overtime winner in Leeds last weekend, to give his team an excellent 3-2 win.
Games between these two teams are never dull affairs, in fact in all 5 previous games this season the margin of victory has been one goal, therefore fans can expect more of the same this coming weekend.
Following on from last weekends disappointment, for the Bison it’s very much a case of, the only way is up.
Rest assured Ash and the players will have been working their socks off in training this week, as they look to make amends and begin climbing the table.
Fans of the Herd can of course play their part, starting from the moment the players take the ice on Saturday night. DJ Bavy will be on hand to fire the Wall of Sound into action, so lets be loud and proud and get behind the boys as we look for the victory.
