The GalxC Cooling Services sponsored Basingstoke Bison are pleased to announce that British forward Ryan Sutton will be back in the No 61 jersey for the upcoming 2022/23 NIHL season.
For 27 year old, 5’ 9” , 76kg, Basingstoke born Sutton, this will be his 6th season with the Bison, having made his senior debut during the 2011/12 EPL season.
Since then he has made in excess of 200 league, cup & play off appearances, scoring 56 points (20+36) & incurring 52 penalty minutes.
Early in his career Ryan played at both U16 & U18 level for Basingstoke in addition to spells with the Buffalo in NIHL 2.
The 2016/17 season saw Ryan experience hockey away from the UK spending a year in the Canadian GMHL, firstly with Komoka Dragons, playing 8 games, scoring 7 points (4+3) before moving onto Tottenham Steam where he played 24 games, scoring 20 points (6+14).
Returning to the UK & the Bison for the 2017/18 season, Sutton stayed for a season before joining Bracknell Bees, although it was just one season, and made the move back to the Herd for the 2019/20 season.
Bison Head Coach Ash Tait commented on Ryan’s re-signing said,
“I think sutts feels he has a point to prove this year. I had a pretty frank conversation with him and I like the response I’m getting currently. I feel he has a lot more to offer and I hope to get that out of him”.
Ryan said this about another season with his home town club,
“I’m really excited to be back for the new season! Can’t wait to be back with the guys & playing in-front of the best fans in the league again. Looking forward to fighting for some silverware to bring home come the end of the year!”

- If the 2021/22 season’s shirt sponsor wants to continue sponsoring the shirt.
