We have received a big thank you from the Basingstoke Food Bank for the Herd families donations which the players dropped off prior to Christmas.
We are so pleased to confirm that our donations generated 136kg, which is the equivalent to 289 meals. The email received, reads as follows:
I am writing on behalf of the Foodbank Trustees to thank you for your generous support of Basingstoke Foodbank ,which is very much appreciated.
Your donation of food will go a long way to help our Foodbank in its efforts to feed people in crisis across the Basingstoke and Deane area.
From Jan to the end of November 2021, with your help we have fed over 7,000 adults and children.
Since July 2021 we have been distributing food for the community from our 6 Foodbank Centres in and around Basingstoke and Tadley.
Whether you give food,financial donations or the gift of your time, your support really does make a difference to these people facing hunger and poverty in the UK, and helps us to stand up for the most vulnerable in our own community.
