The GalxC Cooling Services Basingstoke Bison would like to thank net minder Dan Weller Evans for his service to the Herd over the past 8 seasons.
During the 2021 / 22 season Dan unfortunately picked up a groin injury which forced Coach Tait to make a change to the goalie core. Once fit again Dan confirmed that he wanted a playing role for the remainder of the 2021 / 22 season and was loaned to the Bees.
Coach Tait commenting on the situation said,
“Dan’s been a part of our core since I came in. Unfortunately with injuries and changes in personnel it was difficult to get him the opportunities to play. We obviously wish Dan the best of luck for the future”.
In the eight seasons Dan iced for the Herd the club were the 2015 / 16 EPIHL champions & in 2017 / 18 were the NIHL South 1 League Champions & Play Off champions.
During the 2019 / 20 season Dan won the November Oddballs NIHL Player of the Month award.
Everyone at the Bison would like to place on record it’s thanks to Dan for his dedication during his time with the Herd and we wish him nothing but success for the future both on and off the ice.
