It’s a return to the standard Saturday at home & Sunday away weekend of Planet Ice National League action for the GalxC Cooling Services Basingstoke Bison.

First up, we welcome Telford Tigers to the Silverdome Arena on Saturday evening, face off is the usual time of 6.30pm. Tigers currently are 6th in the standings, having won 11 of the 23 games they’ve played, scoring 90 goals and conceding 79.

Czech Import Vladimir Luka leads the scoring for Telford, with 32 points (17+15), followed by Scott McKenzie on 24 points (9+15).

Recent changes to the Tigers roster have seen Bayley Harewood depart for Bristol Pitbulls, defender Henry Adams join from Sheffield Steeldogs and Andy McKinney return on a 2-way with NIHL 1 North club Deeside Dragons.

Sunday (4th December) will see the Herd make the short trip to The Hangar in Slough, where they take on Bees IHC (formerly Bracknell Bees), face off is now 4.00pm, not 5.00pm, this is due to the England v Senegal World Cup game which kicks off at 7.00pm.

Bees presently occupy 10th spot with 12 points from 22 games, courtesy of 5 regulations wins and 2 OT losses.

Their leading points scorer is Juha Lindgren on 29 (14+15), closely followed by Slovakian Import and newly appointed Head Coach Dominik Gabaj, with 28 (12+16), although it will be a while before he can add to these stats as he recently picked up a 10 game suspension.

Following on from last Saturday’s disappointing home loss to the Hull Seahawks, Bison Head Coach Ashley Tait and the players will have been working hard in training as they look to re-discover the exciting style of hockey which brought success in the early part of the season.

Fans of the Stampede, you just need to continue backing the boys in your usual manner.

Loud, Louder, Loudest.
