Your GalxC Cooling Services Basingstoke Bison are in Planet Ice National League action this weekend, with back to back games against Raiders IHC.
On Saturday, we welcome Romford based Raiders IHC to the Silverdome Arena, this game has the usual face of time of 6.30pm.
Sunday’s return fixture at the Sapphire Ice & Leisure Centre in Romford, faces off at 5.15pm.
Raiders currently sit 6th in the league standings with 35 points from 33 games, courtesy of 17 regulation wins and 1 OT loss, this sees them 4 points behind 5th placed Swindon and 10 points ahead of ourselves.
Leading the Raiders scoring are British forward Jake Sylvester with 42 points (18+24) and Import forward Mathieu Gomercic also on 42 points (14+28), captain Aaron Connolly heads the goals chart with 20 from 33 games.
Games between the teams generally produce plenty of goals, thrilling hockey and a huge amount of intensity, no doubt this weekend will see another pair of games containing those same qualities.
The Herd will go in the weekend on the back of excellent wins against Telford Tigers and Hull Seahawks, both of which were a result of impressive all round team performances and renewed confidence.
