It’s a two game, one opponent weekend for the GalxC Cooling Services Basingstoke Bison, with home and away Planet Ice National League fixtures against the Peterborough Phantoms.

First up on Saturday night, we welcome Phantoms to the Silverdome Arena, where face off will be 6.30pm.

The return game on Sunday at Peterborough’s Bretton Road Rink, has a face off time of 5.30pm.

Following the midweek win over Telford, which further strengthened their grip on 3rd place in the league standings, Phantoms now have 68 points from 44 games, this leaves them 4 points off of 2nd placed MKL and a further 2 adrift of the leaders Leeds Knights.

Leading the points scoring for them is none other than Glenn Billing with 63 (17+43) from 43 appearances, topping the goal charts is the evergreen Ales Padelek, on 29 goals from 42 appearances + 28 assists.

As for the Bison, last weekends oh so vital win in Bristol over the Pitbulls, along with Sunday nights home loss to Leeds, which despite the 1-4 score line and the quality of the opposition, both provided evidence of the fine performances the team have been producing over the last month.

This weekend’s games are important to both Peterborough, who are looking to stay in touch with the top 2, and ourselves, as we look to secure a playoff place.

Fans of the Bison, this is where you come in, you all know the drill………..

Loud, Louder, Loudest
