It’s just the one game for the GalxC Cooling Services Basingstoke Bison this weekend,  with the Milton Keynes Lightning visiting the Silverdome Arena on Saturday night, face off is 6.30pm.

MKL lie 2nd in the league standings, 4 points adrift of title favourites the Leeds Knights, who have a game in hand over their Buckinghamshire rivals.

Whilst the points are vital in maintaining contact with Leeds, they also need to keep out of range of 3rd placed Peterborough Phantoms, who are just 2 points further back and have a game in hand over MK.

No doubt Lightning will be looking to return to winning ways after their feisty loss in Romford last Sunday, during which Norris, Griffin and Wallace received match penalties.

Even if all 3 receive bans, there is ample quality in the MK roster to ensure their absence has a minimal impact on the team which takes to the ice this Saturday.

As for the Bison, they’ll be hoping to put last weekend behind them. The losses to Phantoms were doubly disappointing as prior to then, the Herd had been showing a marked improvement in results and performances, which has seen them move closer to securing a play-off spot.

Saturday night is also one of our ever popular “Skate with the Bison” events where fans of the Herd get to skate straight after the game with their on ice heroes.

Fans of the Bison, remember your role is to be…………..

Loud, Louder, Loudest
