It’s a crucial weekend of Planet Ice National League action for the GalxC Cooling Services Basingstoke Bison. With fixtures against 7th placed Telford and 10th placed Bees IHC.

First up on Saturday night, we welcome Bees IHC to the Silverdome Arena, face off as usual is 6.30pm.

Bees are 11 points behind the Herd who sit 8th in the standings, although we have played one game less than the Slough-based side. While Saturday’s game is extremely important for both sides as they enter the final month of the regular season, with just 9 games left for us to play, it is doubly so for the Bees if they are to remain in the hunt for the last play-off spot.

Fixtures between the two teams are traditionally feisty, as befits a local rivalry, so fans in attendance on Saturday can expect more of the same with so much at stake.

Sunday will see the Bison make the road trip to Shropshire, where they will take on the Tigers with face off in the Telford Ice Rink at 6.00pm.

Tigers lead the Herd by a point, having played 2 games more than us, which again makes this game massively important to both teams, as they jostle for the dubious pleasure of playing either Leeds, MK or Peterborough.

On the back of last Saturday’s dismal outing, fans of the Bison and no doubt the players, will see this coming weekend as an opportunity to return to winning ways, pick up some much needed momentum and take a big step towards securing either 7th or 8th place.

Fans of the Stampede, only 4 home league games remain, so make sure you are ready to play your part, starting this Saturday at 6.30pm.
