Halloween weekend fixtures will see your GalxC Cooling Services Basingstoke Bison in National League action against the Bees IHC and Raiders IHC.

First up on Saturday night is a visit from Slough based Bees IHC, face off at the Silverdome Arena is 6.30 pm.

Bees currently occupy 9th spot, with 2 wins and an OT loss from their 11 games, which has them one place behind the Bison, albeit 5 points adrift.

Bees leading points scorer being Dominik Gabaj their influential import will come as no surprise to anyone, Gabaj has 22 points (10+12) from 11 games, the next best is Juha Lindgren on 18 points (7+11) also from 11 games.

Being local rivals usually gives these meetings an added edge, no doubt Saturday night will follow that trend, fans attending the game can expect to be treated to 60 minutes of feisty, end to end hockey.

On Sunday the Stampede make the trip to the Sapphire Leisure Centre in Romford, for our first meeting against Raiders IHC this season, face off for this game is 5.15pm.

Raiders sit 7th in the league standings on 11 points from 12 games played, courtesy of 5 wins and 1 OT loss.

Head Coach Sean Easton oversaw a number of changes to their roster for this season, leaving were JJ Pitchley, Rio Grinell-Parke, Ollie Baldock, Callum Burnett, Lukas Sladkovsky and very recently the popular Dan Scott, who has retired from hockey for work reasons.

Incoming were Ashley Jackson (Invicta) Elliot Dewey (Bison) Harry Gulliver (Manchester Storm) Mike Power (MKL) Blahoslav Novák (didn’t play last season) and Matthieu Gomeric (Atlanta Gladiators).

New import Gomeric, has already caught the eye of many with a number of outstanding performances, racking up 12 points, including a 3+4 haul during Raiders recent 4 point weekend.

So although 2 extremely tough challenges lie ahead, on the back of Wednesday night’s dismal performance, no doubt Ash and the team will look upon the weekend as an opportunity to put the Bristol game behind them.

As for you Bison fans, Saturday at 6.30pm will be the time for the Wall of Sound to get to work and do what you do best…………Loud, Louder, Loudest.
