Your GalxC Cooling Services sponsored Basingstoke Bison face a spell of 3 National League games in 5 days, with two fixtures against Milton Keynes Lightning and one with the Leeds Knights.
The first of these is away to MKL on Saturday night, face off is 7.00pm.
Sunday evening we are at home to the Leeds Knights, face off is 5.30pm.
Lastly, MKL come to town on Wednesday night, this game has a 8pm face off.
MKL currently occupy 3rd place in the table with 42 points from 34 games, courtesy of 20 regulation wins and 2 OT losses.
Bobby Chamberlain leads the scoring for the Lightning with 62 points (25+37) from 28 appearances, followed by Sean Norris on 54 points (24+30) also from 28 appearances.
Since the two teams last met, MK have further strengthened their high scoring roster by acquiring Morgan Clark-Pizzo from Peterborough Phantoms and Tim Wallace, who was released from his role of Head Coach with Nottingham Panthers. Wallace made 60 Elite League appearances for MK in the 2018/19 season.
On Sunday evening we welcome Leeds Knights to the Silverdome, they are currently 5th in the league standings on 38 points from 35 games, as a result of 16 regulation wins plus 2 OT wins and 2 OT losses.
The outstanding 20 year old British forward, Kieran Brown, heads the Knights’ scoring with an impressive 76 points (37+39) from 34 appearances, so it came as no surprise recently when he was announced as returning to Elland Road-based Leeds Knights for the 2022/23 season. Brandon Whistle with 61 points (28+33) from 29 appearances is the next best.
With the likes of Adam Barnes, Matty Davies and Cole Shudra in their roster, they have a formidable set of forwards for the Bison defence to deal with. In Sam Gospel they have the net minder with the league’s best save percentage (91.5), therefore the Bison forwards will need to be on form to find the back of the net.
Tickets for Sunday nights encounter can be booked in advance online here.
Ash and the team head into these games full of confidence after 2 excellent wins last weekend, and no doubt will have been working hard in training as they aim to continue picking up the points heading into the business end of the season.
Don’t forget Bison fans, you can play your part by being Loud, Louder, Loudest. If you need any assistance on Sunday and Wednesday, DJ Bavy will be on hand with a constant supply of music and verbal encouragement.
